Adobe Flash Group Policy installation fails on Windows 10

Issue

Group Policy fails to install Adobe Flash on a brand new Windows 10 Pro PC. Windows 7 computers are unaffected. Following error is logged on a client PC:

Event ID: 102
Level: Error
User: System
The install of application Adobe Flash Player – ActiveX from policy Adobe Flash failed. The error was: %%1603

Trying to run Flash Player installer .msi file manually also doesn’t work. In this case following error is displayed:

Error : The version of the Player that you are trying to install is lower than what is currently installed.

Resolution

There is actually nothing to resolve… Windows 10 comes with Adobe Flash player pre-installed. Group Policy installation of Flash Player on Windows 10 is redundant.
