Issue

MS Teams  ( the “new” version .msix package) installation fails with the following error:

Cannot open app package
This app package is not supported for installation by App Installer because it uses certain restricted capabilities.

Resolution

The issue was fixed by updating “App Installer” in Microsoft Store app.
