  • Media Portal HTPC doesn’t enter sleep on its own

    Issue A Windows 7 Media PC (HTPC) with Plex and Media Portal TV servers installed never enters sleep on its own. It can be put to sleep manually via Start Menu (if no TV is being recorded or streamed), but it never enters sleep automatically according to the Windows Power Plan sleep schedule.

  • Inaccurate timeline seeking for videos encoded with Handbrake

      Issue Videos produced with Davinci Resolve (Cineform) and encoded to H.264 MP4 with Handbrake don’t work properly with some video player (i.e. Media Player Classic). The issue occurs when seeking / skipping using timeline. Instead of jumping to the place clicked on the timeline, it starts playing several seconds earlier or later.
