Denon AVR-X2800H is a 2-zone AVR. This allows you to independently play and control sound in two different rooms/zones. Unfortunately, this feature has some limitations.
If you want to play the same audio in both zones, that’s not a problem – simply set Zone 2 input to “Source“, or enable “All Zone Stereo” via the AVR Option menu. The same sound will played in both zones (multi-room).
However, if you want to play different audio in both zones, your Zone 2 devices have to be connected to the AVR via analogue RCA connectors. You can use internet AVR’s sources (Bluetooth, HEOS, Internet Radio, Tuner, USB), but nothing connected via digital inputs (HDMI, Coaxial, Optical) will be available in Zone 2.
