Disable User Account Control (UAC) via Group Policy

To disable User Account Control (UAC) via Group Policy (GPO) configure following GPO policies:

  • Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
    • Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users – Elevate without prompting
    • Detect application installations and prompt for elevation – Disabled
    • Only elevate UIAccess applications that are installed in secure locations – Disabled
    • Run all users, including administrators, as standard users – Disabled
