Google Chrome – “Download is in progress…” when nothing is downloading

Issue

Every time user tries to close Google Chrome, “Download is in progress” warning message appears, despite that there is nothing being downloaded.

Exit Chrome anyway?

Resolution

The issue was resolved by clearing the Google Chrome cache: Options > More Tools > Clear Browsing Data
