Issue

A Joomla website that uses a responsive design and would normally be considered mobile friendly is reported by Google Mobile-Friendly Test as not mobile friendly.

Resolution

After looking into the detailed report it became apparent the issue was caused by a robots.txt file that was blocking Google Mobile Bot from accessing the website’s CSS stylesheet.

The issue was resolved by removing Disallow: /templates/ line from the robots.txt.
