Kaspersky Registration error – KasperskyLab.KIS.UI.Activation.Viewmodel…

Issue

After instilling Kaspersky Internet Security 2016, Application Registration windows keeps regularly popping up.

If you click “Remind me later“, it only dismissed the dialog and it re-appears some time later.

If you click “Register”, following error is displayed:

Resolution

Issue was resolved following way:

  • Uninstall and then re-install Kaspersky Internet Security.
  • When Kaspersky starts for the first time, before entering license key, it will ask whether you want to register with Kaspersky. Select Register.
  • Complete the registration. You can use fake info including non-existing email address if you don’t want to share your personal details with Kaspersky.
  • Activate the application by providing your license key.
