Open Windows (SMB) share on Mac OS X

To open Windows share on Mac OS X:

• Open Finder
• Go > Connect to Server
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Type smb://192.168.1.10
  where 192.168.1.10 your windows machine’s IP address or DNS name.
  
• Click Connect

The same method can be used to connect to Linux (Samba), NAS and other network devices serving files via SMB (Server Message Block) protocol. It is also known also CIFS (Common Internet File System).
