Issue
Remote Desktop connection from a Windows 10 client to a Windows 7 PC fails with following error:
An internal error has occurred.
Resolution
The issue was resolved by deleting saved remote desktop connection credentials. After re-entering credentials during the next connection attempt everything was working fine.
