Roboform Google Chrome Extension gets disabled on every launch

Issue

Roboform (Password Manager by Siber Systems) Google Chrome extension is automatically disabled every time Google Chrome in started. User has to go into Chrome Extensions page and manually enable it. This enables the extension and it works fine, but only for that single session. When Google Chrome is launched next time, the Roboform extension is disabled again.

Reinstalling both, Google Chrome and Roboform didn’t help…

Resolution

The issue was resolved by performing following steps:

  • Open Roboform Password Manager
    • Navigate to Options > Browsers and Apps
    • Uncheck checkbox next to Google Chrome
  • Open Google Chrome
    • Navigate to More Tools > Extensions
    • Delete all instances of Roboform extension
  • Open Roboform Password Manager again
    • Navigate to Options > Browsers and Apps
    • Now check checkbox next to Google Chrome
  • Open Google Chrome one more time
    • Navigate to More Tools > Extensions
    • Enable Roboform extension
